2010 World Expo in Shanghai, China

Hip Hop ChicaGO brought authentic breakdancing and beats to thousands at the Shanghai World Expo. With 4 performances over 2 days, we drew the USA Pavilion’s largest audience ever. Our excursion also included a stop at Fudan University, where we met and battled with Chinese student breakdancers. See our videos, photos, and blog for the full experience!

The newest music festival to hit Chicago held a contest for a local artist to join the main stage lineup, which boasts acts like The Chemical Brothers, Nas, Damian Marley, Lupe Fiasco, and De La Soul.

Hip Hop ChicaGO artist MC Rico’s band Sidewalk Chalk made it to the finals in the North Coast Music Festival’s “Toast of the Coast” competition! Though the band did not ultimately win, it was a great show and a fun night.
